At the age of 16, Nikala Cunningham was selected in the Volleyball Australia under 19 women’s team to compete in Vietnam at the Asian Junior Championships.
Nikala was chosen by the coaching staff to lead the team as vice captain.
The team was presented with their Australia jerseys on sunday September 5 at Ballymore.
The team flew out for Vietnam early Monday morning (September 6) and were away for three weeks.
